チェンマイ旅行の夕食は、地元でも人気の**ガイヤーン チューンドーイ（Gai Yang Cherng Doi）**へ行きました。
本場のガイヤーンを食べるのを楽しみにしていたので、お店に着く前からワクワク。

歩いているだけで汗が止まらないほど暑い一日でした。

One evening during our stay in Chiang Mai, we had dinner at the famous local restaurant Gai Yang Cherng Doi, known for serving some of the city’s best grilled chicken.We had been looking forward to trying authentic Thai Gai Yang, and this restaurant certainly lived up to its reputation.It turned out to be one of the highlights of our Chiang Mai trip.)
☀ 40℃でも食欲をそそる人気店
夕方になっても気温は高く、まだまだ暑さが残っています。
それでも、お店には地元の人や観光客が次々と訪れ、とても賑わっていました。
テーブル席に座ると、まずは冷たい飲み物で乾杯です。

The temperature reached nearly 40°C (104°F) that day.Even after sunset, the air was still warm, and simply walking outside made us sweat.When we arrived at the restaurant, it was already bustling with both locals and tourists.The lively atmosphere made us even more excited to try the food.)

40℃近い暑さの中を歩いたあとに飲むビールは最高でした。
今回は、タイを代表するビールを注文！タイは氷を入れて飲むのが文化です
キンキンに冷えたビールが体に染み渡ります。
「タイに来てよかった！」
と思える瞬間でした。
暑い国だからこそ味わえる、この一杯は忘れられません。
(Nothing Beats a Cold Beer After a Hot Day
After spending the day sightseeing in the heat, the first thing we ordered was a cold beer.I chose Singha Beer, one of Thailand’s most famous local beers.That first icy sip after walking around in 40-degree weather tasted absolutely amazing.It was one of those moments that made me think,“This is exactly why traveling is so much fun.”Sometimes, the simplest experiences become the most memorable.)
🍗 名物ガイヤーンと本場タイ料理を堪能
この日のお目当ては、もちろんお店の名物ガイヤーン（炭火焼き豚バラ肉）。
香ばしく焼き上げられた鶏肉は、外はパリッと、中は驚くほどジューシーで、鶏肉本来の旨みをしっかり味わえます。
娘ちゃんは、”肉！！”といって一人でペロッと食べてしまいました。
数枚を甘辛いタレにつけて食べると、ご飯もビールもどんどん進むおいしさでした。
ガイヤーンのほかにも、野菜がたっぷり入ったあっさり味のスープや、豚ひき肉を使ったタイ料理も注文。
どの料理もそれぞれ違ったおいしさがあり、家族みんなでシェアしながら本場のタイ料理を満喫しました。
どれも日本ではなかなか味わえない本格的な味で、「人気店なのも納得！」と思える大満足の夕食になりました。

Of course, the star of the meal was the restaurant’s signature Gai Yang (Thai charcoal-grilled chicken).The chicken was perfectly grilled with crispy skin on the outside while remaining incredibly juicy and tender inside.Dipping each piece into the restaurant’s sweet and spicy Thai sauce made it even more delicious.We also ordered several other traditional Thai dishes to share.A light vegetable soup was refreshing despite the hot weather, and a flavorful minced pork dish paired perfectly with the grilled chicken.Sharing different dishes around the table is one of the best parts of eating in Thailand.Every dish had its own unique flavor, allowing us to experience a wonderful variety of authentic Thai cuisine.By the end of the meal, it was easy to understand why this restaurant is so popular with both locals and visitors.)
🛺 帰りはトゥクトゥクでCrew Hotelへ
夕食を楽しんだあとは、トゥクトゥクタクシーでCrew Hotelまで帰ることにしました。
チェンマイへ来たら一度は乗ってみたかった乗り物です。
夜の街を走るトゥクトゥクは、とても開放的。
心地よい夜風が体に当たり、昼間の暑さが嘘のように気持ちよく感じました。
ネオンが光る街並みを眺めながら走る時間は、まさに海外旅行ならでは。
娘ちゃんも楽しそうに景色を眺めていました。
ホテルまでの短い時間でしたが、旅の締めくくりにぴったりの移動でした。
(Riding a Tuk-Tuk Back to Crew Hotel
After dinner, we decided to return to Crew Hotel by tuk-tuk.It was something we had wanted to experience during our trip.As the tuk-tuk drove through Chiang Mai’s streets, a refreshing evening breeze flowed through the open sides of the vehicle.After spending the day in intense heat, the cool night air felt incredibly comfortable.Watching the city lights pass by while enjoying the open-air ride became one of our favorite memories from Chiang Mai.Our daughter also seemed fascinated by the experience, quietly looking around at the night scenery with excitement.Even though the ride wasn’t very long, it was the perfect way to end a wonderful evening.)

ガイヤーン チューンドーイは、本場のガイヤーンを味わいたい人におすすめのお店です。
40℃という暑さの中で飲むシンハービール、香ばしく焼き上げられたガイヤーン、そしてタイ料理の数々。
どれもチェンマイらしい味を満喫することができました。
そして最後は、トゥクトゥクで夜風を感じながらCrew Hotelへ。
食事だけでなく、移動まで含めてタイらしさをたっぷり感じられた、思い出深い夜になりました。
